Linda Gail (McAdoo) Thompson

Linda Gail McAdoo Thompson,69, of New London, Tx, completed her Earthly journey on May 2, 2023, in Henderson, Tx. She was born December 17, 1953, in Overton, Tx to parents R.H. and Bennie Lou McAdoo. She is one of four siblings. On April 27, 1981, she Married Kent Thompson and had two beautiful daughters. Mrs. Thompson “Nanny Linda” was a dedicated and hardworking employee at places like Skeeter Boats, Baker Tank, and a sewing factory in Alabama. She retired young but was always so proud of her work. Mrs. Linda loved to cook and sew. She was a Member of the Quilting Club at McMillian Memorial Library.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am-11:00 am on Monday, May 8, 2023, with service following at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Henderson, Tx.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Williams Kent Thompson, and their two daughters, Liza Beck (Zane Beck), and Holly Thompson (Nick Hall). She is also survived by her sister Mary Jane Kile (Lynn Kile), Her brother-in-law Rodger Furguson, her four grandchildren; Hannah Mizell, Parker Mizell, Cole Spain, and Bethany Beck, alongside many nieces and nephews.

She is Preceded om death by her parents, R.H. and Bennie Lou McAdoo, her sister Betty Lou Furguson, and her brother David Robert McAdoo.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
