Lisa Burkett Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lisa Keeling Burkett who passed away peacefully and went to be with our lord and savior on June 5, 2026 at the age of 66 surrounded by her family.

Lisa was a devoted Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, devoted best friend, and most of all the most incredible “Grammie” ever. She didn’t know a stranger and loved everyone she came in contact with. She was and has always been a source of unwavering love and strength to her family and friends, and to her family, she was the “glue” that held everything and everyone together. Her legacy will always be cherished, but the memories created with her will be treasured forever.

Born on March 3, 1960 in Henderson, Texas, Lisa lived a life filled with faith, purpose, kindness, and love. She found joy in spending time with family and friends, attending Church at Lanes Chapel Methodist Church, singing in the choir, and spending time with her granddaughter Mayce. At the time of her passing, she worked for CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances, where she was employed for 25 years. Lisa loved her job and all those she worked with.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Burkett, Mother, Ann Keeling, Son, Cayce Burkett, daughter in law, Michelle Burkett, granddaughter, Mayce Burkett, sisters Sheri Deaton, Lori Keeling, and Amy Taber, Brother in Law Mike Taber, mother in law Louise Wright, Brother in Law Ronnie Burkett, Sister in Law Julia Burkett, numerous Nieces & Nephews & great nieces and nephews that she loved very dearly, and many other family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Keeling, grandmother, Celeste Webb, and numerous grandparents, aunts, and uncles.Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in the love she gave so freely, the love she had with the lord, and knowing one day, we will see her again.

We are forever grateful to the lord for the time he allowed us to have with her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM on June 22,2026 at Lanes Chapel Methodist Church, 8720 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler TX.
