Lisa graduated from Kilgore College with an associate’s degree in health administration and worked as a Medical Claims Analyst for Centene Corporation for nine years. She was especially proud of this accomplishment and the meaningful work she did in helping others navigate the healthcare system.
Lisa, a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, was known for her infectious humor, deep kindness, and unwavering compassion. She had a heart for caregiving, always stepping up in times of need for her family. Her generosity and ability to listen with empathy made her a cherished presence in the lives of many.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—gardening, cooking, traveling, and scrapbooking. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Her vibrant spirit and favorite color, purple, reflected her warm and loving personality.
Lisa is survived by her father, Mike Johnson; her two children, Dustin Burns and Madison Burns; and three beloved grandchildren, Ryder, Addisynn, and Tinley. She also leaves behind her brother, Jessie; and four sisters, Debbi, Michelle, Victoria, and Savannah; one nephew, Austin and two nieces, Hannah and Hailey. Additionally, she is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Debra (Fuhrman/Johnson) Cornett.
