Louise Rucker Wilkinson

Louise “Lucy” Rucker Wilkinson, 95, passed away on October 21, 2025 in Tyler, Texas. She was born April 30, 1930, in Cherokee County, Texas to the late William Ervin and Viola Mae Brown Rucker.

Services for Louise will be a Cottle Funeral Home in Troup, Texas as follows: Visitation is on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 6pm to 8 pm. Her funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, October 27, 2025. Interment will be immediately following the service at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Louise enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved music and playing the piano. She also love to paint landscapes and ceramics. She was a homemaker. She was a telephone operator for many years. She tended to the farm, loved flowers, cooking, watching westerns, birds and nature in general. She will be forever missed by her family and friends.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents, husband Hershel Wilkinson, son-in-law and siblings.

Louise is survived by her children, Robert Wilkinson of Arizonia, and Lori Mantooth of Troup; grandchildren, Emily Sherlock, Dustin Baldree and wife Corey, Matthew Koop and wife Tiffany, Casandra Koop; 8 great-grandchildren, Aiden Koop, Samuel Koop, Anna Koop, Liam Koop, Jaxen Baldree, Camden Baldree, Bella Koop, and Angelina Koop.

Funeral services are under directions of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas.
