Loyce "Cookie" Gatlin, 80, of Troup, passed away on January 11, 2024, in Troup, Texas. She was born on February 3, 1943, in Kauffman County, Texas, to the late JD and Juanita Weatherford Cook.
Funeral services for Loyce Gatlin will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery, Troup.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Loyce was a resident of the Troup community. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.
Loyce is survived by her children, Jerry Dale Gatlin of Troup, Anita Tipton and husband Mike of Tyler, and Jimmy Gatlin and wife Katie of Troup; sisters, Mary Johnston and husband Bill Stein of Longville, LA, Patricia Law of Killeen, Debbie Tucker and husband Billy Marks of Malakoff, and Marsha Stark and Aaron of Athens; sisters-in-law, Ernestine Cook of Troup and Delia Cook of Brazoria County; 10 grandchildren; Twoby Gatlin, David Gatlin, Justin Gatlin and wife Jennifer, Chelsea Isaacks, Ethan Isaacks and wife Courtney, and Megan Tipton, Gilbert Gatlin, Marianna Gatlin, Jennifer Gatlin, Jelacy, Bristow and husband Andrew, and 5 great-grandchildren, Jaxon Gatlin, Pruitt Gatlin, Birdie Gatlin, Marshall Isaacks, and Ella Isaacks.
Loyce is preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Joe Gatlin, sister, Judy Gantt, and brothers, Jimmy Cook, Donny Cook, David Cook, and Johnny Cook.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
