Loyd George Stacks

Loyd George Stacks, 86, of Tyler, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on July 18, 1938, in Washington County, Arkansas, to the late Ray Edward and Lottie Maye Fergeson Stacks.

Funeral services for Loyd Stacks will be at 11:30 am, Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas.

Loyd was a resident of the Tyler community, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and loved hunting. He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and a retired truck driver. He will forever be missed by his family and friends.

Loyd is survived by his wife Sue Stacks of Tyler; children, Evelyn Hestand and husband Gary of Tyler, TX, Loyd Stacks, Jr. and wife Teresa of Brier, WA, and Jerry Stacks and wife Hillary of Hawkins, TX; grandchildren, Chad Hestand and wife Katy, Tricia Hestand, Heather Velandria and husband Cris, Clayton Stacks and wife Amanda, Colton Stacks and wife Kelsey, and Esther Stacks; great-grandchildren Ely Hestand, Natalie Robinson, Zoe Velandria, and Sain Mathew.

Loyd is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, granddaughter Angela Dutchik, and great-grandsons Lucas Robinson and Jayden Dutchik.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
