Loys V. Sadler, 100, passed away on September 14, 2025 in Longview, Texas. He was born June 6, 1925, in Troup, Texas to the late Bevie Byron and Jeffie Kee Sadler.
Loys enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a veteran of the United States Navy US Coast Guard, he served in Perth Australia in 1944, and he was on the USS Corpus Christi. He worked for almost 62 years in the oil field drilling business all over the world. He was a Mason and a member of the Bethesda Lodge #142. He will be forever missed by his family and friends.
Loys is preceded in death by his parents, Bevie Byron and Jeffie Kee Sadler, step-mother, Hazel Sadler, daughter, Loretta Sadler, brothers, Forest Sadler and Bill Sadler, and sister-in-law, Linda Sadler.
Loys is survived by his wife, Aurora Sadler; daughters, Freida Sadler and Verna Davidson and husband Billyjack; brother, Byron Sadler and wife Sandra; sister, Mabel Pickens and husband Walter; sister-in-law, Esther Sadler; numerous grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Loys Sadler will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Henry’s Chapel Cemetery, Troup, Texas with Bill Clem officiating.
