Marjorie Louise Webb

Marjorie Louise Wilson Webb, 89, of Troup, Texas passed away March 11, 2025, in Henderson, Texas. She was born July 3, 1935, in Arp, Texas to the late Finton Wilson and Lucille Dean.

Funeral service will be at 2 PM, Friday, March 14, 2025, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton with Pastor David Webber officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Arp, Texas.  Visitation will be held prior to funeral services at 1 PM.

Marjorie graduated from Arp High School and went on to the University of Texas before moving back to Arp and married Bobby Joe Bobbitt Sr in 1954. They lived in Ft. Worth where they began raising their three boys: Bobby, Dale, and Harold. After Bobby Joe Sr’s passing, she married Jerry Webb in 1966 and then relocating to Overton, Texas.

She then drew up her own plans for a house they would soon have built in Troup, TX where she would enjoy sitting out on the back patio and the boat dock. She worked as a loan officer and retired from Texas Bank and Trust in 1997. Her and Jerry enjoyed traveling and going to casinos. Marjorie loved to go antiquing and had a strong interest in genealogy.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Finton Wilson and Lucille Dean; husband(s) Bobby Joe Bobbitt Sr, and Jerry Webb; and her sister, Grace Wilson Serrao.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby & Kim Bobbitt of Troup, TX; Dale & Tina Bobbitt of Overton, TX; Harold & Susan Bobbitt of Overton, TX; grandchildren, Corey & Leah Bobbitt of New London, TX; Jennifer & Brandon Stewart of Argyle, TX; Kyle & Tracey Bobbitt of Wylie, TX; Eric & Mandy Bobbitt of Overton, TX; Lorin & Justin Arnold of Overton, TX; Savannah & Warren Robert of Longview, TX; Mason & Raegyn Bobbitt of Midland, TX; Kurstin Doss of Troup, TX; Lance Doss of Tyler, TX; Crawford & Hannah Bobbitt of Midland, TX; Landri Bobbitt of Overton, TX; great grandchildren: Madison, Allison, and Carson Bobbitt; Leslie, Londyn, and Linnea Bobbitt; Parker & Asher Bobbitt; Amelia Doss; Oaklinn Doss; Mary Nichole Stephenson (Rusty), Hayden & Lane Stewart; Bryson, Makynna, and Ellisyn Bobbitt; Charleigh & Maryn Arnold; John & Baby Robert; Addy’B, Ella Rae, and Cooper Bobbitt. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Billy and Patty Burnett of Arp, TX, sister, Marion Fletcher of Overton, TX, and brother, Dean Wilson of Overton, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
