Mark David McDougal, 56, of Troup, passed away on April 5, 2020, in Tyler, Texas. He was born July 21, 1963, in Tyler, Texas to Harold and the late Carolyn Herrin McDougal.

Mark enjoyed teaching, was a lifelong resident of Troup, he loved his family with all his heart, and he was a member of the Baptist church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn McDougal, sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Ann and David Tuttle and niece Megan Nicole Tuttle.

He is survived by his wife, Marty McDougal of Troup; children, Aaron McDougal of Troup, Troy McDougal of Gatesville, Jacob McDougal of Navasota, John McDougal of Big Sandy, Dakota Scott of Whitehouse, and Noah Scott of Austin; father, Harold McDougal of Troup; brother, Tim McDougal and wife Rita of Troup; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Bonnie Thomas of Troup, Susan Wall and husband Robert of Overton; one grandchild, Ella Rice.

Pallbearers will be Danny Thomas, Aaron McDougal, John Nash, Joe Nash, Tim McDougal, and Donavan Johnson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
