Mary Jane Pannell passed away on June 18, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born in Rusk County, Texas on October 28, 1933.
"MJ" as she liked to be called, was married to Lee Roy Pannell for over seventy years. She was one of eight children and survived by three of her sister's, Darlene Self, Barbara Brown, Jetta Sallee and her brother-in-law Bill Pannell.
Mary and Lee have two children, Bruce Lee Pannell and Lizabeth Pannell Kidwell. They together raised two more children they considered their own, Tom Malone and Connie Malone.
She is also survived by her five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Ben Pannell and his son, Austin Pannell, Emily Pannell McCleskey and her children, Cherie and Owen Greene, Chad Pannell and his children, Shavannah and Preston Pannell, Also, Evan Henshaw and Laurel Wright and her son Jericho Wright.
"MJ" enjoyed her career as a teacher. She taught Cosmetology in the High Schools and then later she and Lee bought Houston Automatic Transmission. They operated their business together until retirement, then moved to Tennessee. She became active in her church, where she taught and started a Bible study group with the Newcomer's Organization in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Mary Jane Pannell valued many close friendships along the way. She loved the Lord, her family and was always a listening ear to anyone that needed her. We have been privileged to have had her help finding our way.
Now, It is time to rest your soul. We send with you our continued Love and Gratitude and a never-ending kiss good-bye.
Memorial graveside service will be Tuesday, June 28,2022, at 9:30 in the morning at Union Grove Cemetery’.
