Mary Golden-Shiver, December 18, 1932 to December 6, 2024.
Graveside services for Mary Golden-Shiver will be held December 9, 2024 at 10 am at Williams Cemetery in New Chapel Hill, Texas. Robert Denton will be officiating.
Our loving and caring Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2024, after a short illness.
Mary was born on December 18, 1932, to Johnnie W. and Lula Bea Perdue Gold. She was preceded by her parents; two brothers, Oren and wife, Marguerite Golden and Audie and wife, Opal Golden; 5 sisters, Eva and husband, Burrus Kellis, Lena and husband, Bob Harris, Beatrice and husband, TL Williams, Ruth and husband, Mack Dykes, Martha and husband, Clifford Harris; son, Melvin Segroves, daughter-in-law, Shelly Segroves and granddaughter, Britney Pierce.
Mary is survived by her sister, Annie Golden. Her pride and joys are her sons, Robert and wife, Theresa Segroves, Ronald Segroves, Mike Segroves, Bryan and wife, Deb Segroves. Her grandchildren, Janet and Husband, Trea Tyler, Jeremy and wife, Amber Segroves, Joey and wife, April Segroves, Jack Freeman, PJ Freeman, Ronnie Segroves, CC and Wife, Maribel Segroves, Justin Pierce, Alex Segroves, and Alex Segroves. Her great-grandchildren, Sydni Segroves, Dylan Segroves, Preslie Segroves, Aniston Segroves, Zoey Tyler, Zane Tyler, Bristin Pierce, and Juden Pierce.
As the center of our world, she will be dearly missed.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, Texas.
