Melba Sue Mabry, 83, of Troup, passed away on October 20, 2023, in Bullard, Texas. She was born on September 6, 1940, Tyler, to the late Claude and Mary Lou Staples.
Graveside services for Melba Sue Mabry will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Bradford Cemetery, Troup, Texas with Reverend Sherman Mayfield officiating.
Melba Sue Mabry was a resident of the Troup community for most of her life and a member of the Lake Tyler Baptist Church. She married the love of her life, Jerry Mabry, on April 28, 1961, and they built a beautiful life together. She was a wonderful homemaker and a great cook. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and spending time with her family.
Melba Sue Mabry is survived by her Husband; Jerry Mabry; Children; Kathy McLain and husband Robin of Whitehouse, Tx, John Mabry and wife Carolyn of Whitehouse, Tx, Connie Gilchriest and husband Cliff of Troup, Tx, and Shawna Bristow and husband Billy of Troup, Tx ; Brothers; Gene Staples and wife Mary of Tyler, Tx, Joe Staples and wife Shirley, of New Harmony, Tx; Sisters; Janette Shank and husband Ron of Tyler, Tx and Linda Peery of Desoto, Tx; 8 Grandchildren; Mandy, Ryan, Sean, Chloe’, Shane, Adam, Max, and Emily; and 4 Great- Grandchildren:Ash, Kathryn, Caiden and Waylon
