Michael Joe Schoolcraft, 73, of Troup, passed away on May 7, 2024, in Troup, Texas. He was born on November 21, 1950, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Joe and Joy Y’Barbo Schoolcraft.
Michael was a resident of the Troup community, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked in banking for over 40 years. He formerly was active in Rotary and Boy Scouts. He loved hunting and fishing with his son Matt and grandkids, as well as following their sports and dance activities. He will forever be missed by his family and friends.
Michael is survived by his wife Cathy Busby Schoolcraft; son Matt Schoolcraft; grandchildren, Jon Michael Schoolcraft, and Abbi Schoolcraft; sister, Debbie Lewis; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Joy Schoolcraft.
