Michael "Mike" David McElroy

Michael David “Mike” McElroy, 68, of Tyler, passed away on October 21, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on September 28, 1956, in El Paso, Texas, to the late Harold and Lois Bennett McElroy.

Graveside service for Mike McElroy will be at Mixon Cemetery, Troup, Texas, 2:00 pm, Monday, October 28, 2024, with Steve Martin officiating.

Mike was a resident of the Tyler community, and he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed bee keeping, fishing, raising birds, especially quail and chickens. He was a registered nurse. He will forever be missed by his family and friends.

Mike is survived by his husband Roy Hortman of Tyler; children Caleb McElroy, Caden McElroy, Natalie Neal all of Tyler.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, brother Perry McElroy and wife Joy.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
