Visitation for Mickel Duan Piland will be from 10:00 am-11:00 am with the Service to follow at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Cottle Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, Texas with Pastor Fransisco Maya officiating.

Mickel was a Manly man who loved his motorcycles and boats. He enjoyed fishing and helping others. He also loved to mentor young men to learn a trade. He worked in construction and owned his own Construction business. He was a hard worker who took pride in his work. He will be forever missed by his family and many beloved friends.

Mickel is Survived in death by his Children; Linda Pless, Jessica Piland, and Mickel Piland III; Sister; Sheila Stiles and husband Scott Stiles; Brother; James Piland; and many Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.

Mickel is preceded in death by his parents; Mickel Duan Piland Sr. and Linda Gilliam; sister; Mary Denice Grumbles and Granddaughter Serenity Grace Pless.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
