Phillip M. Smith

Phillip M. Smith, 78, of Troup Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2022, in Tyler, Texas.

No services are to be held.

Phillip was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Phil and Marguerite Vandervoort Smith on February 19, 1943. He married Sherry Lynne Chestnut in 1992. He was a machinist. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Whitehouse.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents.

Phillip is survived by his wife Sherry Smith of Troup; children, Teresa Smith, Suzy Alamos, J.B. Smith; siblings, Nancy Price, Suzy Grace, Tom Smith, and Mary Odem; 5 grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, Ritchie, Alexis, and Broock.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
