Rex Edward Wood

Rex Edward Wood, 87, of Arp, Texas, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2022, in Overton, Texas. He was born January 2, 1935, in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Joe and Cora Wood.

Graveside services for Rex Wood will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Mason Cemetery in Arp.

Rex enjoyed fishing and farming. He retired from Kelly Springfield after 30 years of service. He also worked some in the oilfield. He served in the United States Army for 3 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Arp.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Cody Wood.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Wood of Arp; son, Sammy Wood, and wife, Jennifer of Arp; brother, Ray Wood, and wife, Glenda of Arlington; sister, Linda Bateman of Tyler; and grandson, Casey Wood, and wife, Sophie of Tyler.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
