He was a long-time resident of Overton, Texas before moving in 2020 to Rockdale, Texas to be near his girls and their families. He was a 1962 graduate of Overton High School. He married Andrea Jeanne “Andy” Wright on May 18, 1963. He worked many years as a butcher at local Meat Markets, Safeway and Brookshires. He left Brookshires to work in the Oilfield. He worked with Axelson for 20 years, Donnell Pipe and Supply for many years and retired from BP Oil but went on to work with Steve Modisette at Extreme Pump for several years after retirement. Tony was very outgoing and loved to fish with his friends and family. He used to tease about being our “Guide.” He loved sports, fishing, hunting and animals. He was very proud of the fact that he was an Eagle Scout and loved to tell stories of the various badges he earned along the way to achieve that honor. He was very active with the Overton Methodist Men’s group. He liked to cut up anything, cook and do for others. He was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He always had a little poem or ditty to tell and loved to make people smile and laugh.
