Ricky "Rick" Gene Knight

Ricky Gene “Rick” Knight, 73, of Troup, TX, passed away on May 17, 2025, in Troup, Texas. He was born on January 30, 1952, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Eugene Knight and Birdie Hamilton Knight.

Memorial services for Rick will be at a later date.

Rick was a resident of the Troup community, and he enjoyed spending time with his family.  He worked in construction for many years. He will forever be missed by his family and friends.

Rick is survived by his son Jason Knight, TX; daughters, Misty Knight, and Andrea McCoy; siblings, Melissa Young and husband Tim, Jerry Knight and wife Debbie; 9 grandkids; and 4 great-grandkids.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
