Roy "RJ" Jefferson Mooney

Roy Jefferson “RJ” Mooney, 88, of Tyler, Texas, went to be with the Lord, on November 13, 2022, in Tyler, Texas.

Funeral services will be 6:00 pm, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, with Reverend Sherman Mayfield officiating.

RJ was born in England, Arkansas, to the late Archie and Syble Earlene Jetton Mooney, on August 17, 1934. He worked many years as a carpenter and enjoyed building things. He loved his family with all of his heart.

RJ is preceded in death by his parents and wife Sally Mae Mooney.

RJ is survived by his son, Dale Mooney of New Brighton, PA; and brother, Benton Mooney of Livermore, CA.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
