Susan G Thompson

Memorial services for Susan Thompson will be on Saturday, March 21st at Lanes Chapel Methodist Church, Tyler, Texas. A visitation will begin at 1:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 pm with Reverend Jeff Gage officiating.

Susan was born February 20, 1959, in Belen, New Mexico and went to be with Jesus on February 24, 2026 in Flint, Texas. Susan loved to spend her time crafting, often making homemade gifts for those she encountered. She also enjoyed time with her family and will be dearly missed.

 She is preceded in death by her father Leo Garcia. She is survived by her husband Jonn Thompson; her son Brent Thompson and his wife Whitney Thompson; her daughter Samantha Modeland and her husband Neil Modeland; and 7 grandchildren. Her mother Trudy Garcia; her 3 sisters JoAnn Padilla, Jeanette Garcia, and Margaret Gutierrez.

Flowers are welcome, or if you prefer, a memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude’s Children Medical Research Hospital or Lanes Chapel Methodist Church in Susan’s honor.
