Venita Tuggle Obituary

Venita Ann Tuggle, of Arp, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2025, at her home in Arp, Texas. She was born on November 4, 1938, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to the late Richard and Regina Mueller.

Visitation services for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday the 24th of January 2025 at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home in Overton, Texas.

Funeral services for Venita Ann Tuggle will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church, in Arp, Texas.

The burial will be Monday, January 27th, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery, Lipan, Texas.

Venita was a bookkeeper for numerous businesses and served Baker's Furniture in Garland for over 25 years. She was a committed employee to her work and employers. In the last years, Venita had moved to Arp and resided with or near her daughter and son-in-law, Roslyn and Mike Van Winkle.

Venita was a longtime member of the Rockwall Bible Church, and most currently a member of Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed friendships with many of her contemporaries in various classes and worship services.

Venita is survived by her children, Teresa Tuggle, Justin and Shelly Tuggle of Stephenville, Texas, and Roslyn and Mike Van Winkle of Arp, Texas; her grandchildren and spouses or spouses to be, Rachel and Storm Snyder, Hannah and Tyler Keen, Rebecca and Grant Doyle, Ben and Madison (to be married in March) Van Winkle, and Brady and Abbi Tuggle; two great grandchildren Shawn Snyder and Harper Keen; sisters and brothers-in-law Carol Ray, Shirley and Bud Seig, Evelyn Hawkins; sisters-in-law Mary Sue Mueller, Anne Mueller; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Venita was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Regina Mueller; Her loving husband of 39 years Abe Jack Tuggle; three brothers, Donnie Mueller, Ralph Mueller, David Mueller; sister Irma Bagnull and brother-in-law Paul Bagnull, Hank Hawkins, Sister-in-law Linda Mueller; and aunts and uncles.

Memorials can be made in Honor of Venita Tuggle to the organization of your choice, Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church Joy Club or Mission fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, Texas.
