Vicki Lynette Wheeler-Delahunt

Vicki Lynette Wheeler-Delahunt, 65, of Henderson, Texas, passed away on July 25, 2020, in Henderson, Texas. She was born on October 13, 1954, at Sheppard’s air force base in Wichita Falls, Texas to Marion Edwards Wheeler and Maxine Millar Wheeler.

Vicki’s first job was at the Pasadena Citizens Newspaper. She also worked for Southwestern Bell, a travel agency, she was a word processor for numerous hospitals and rehabilitation centers, and she also worked for Pan Am a contractor for NASA; definitely a jack of all trades. She was a second-generation Nazarene and loved her church and her extended church family. She never met a stranger and never saw a baby she didn’t want to love and squeeze. She loved to laugh and giggle! Above all, she loved her family fiercely.

She is survived by her spouse, John D. Delahunt of St. Catherine’s, Ontario; parents, Marion E. Wheeler, and stepmother, Dorothy Wheeler of Stillwater, OK; daughter, Lynna Tomlin and husband Paul Tomlin; step-children, Lisa Horn-Williams of Flint, Texas, Lora Horn of CA, and Kurt Horn of CA; sister Valerie Farris and husband Pete of Sherman; brother, Tommy Wheeler and wife Shannon of Santa Fe, TX; sisters-in-law, Judy Delahunt, Heather Hayman and husband Larry all of St. Catherine, Ontario; 6 grandchildren, Cameron Elizabeth, Cori Lynette, Rileigh Maxine, Elijah Edwards, Conner, and Jace; nieces, Heather and husband Matt Dunnbier, Ashley Wheeler, Kayla Farris, and Holly Gaudet; nephews, Kenton Farris, and Roary Gaudet. Memorial service will be held at Heritage Nazarene church.

The address for Heritage Nazarene Church is 601 N. Heritage Parkway, Sherman, Texas, 75092, On Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 11 am.
