Etta Viola “Vi” Groh of Overton, Texas, went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2023. Etta was born January 27, 1926, in Coal Hill, Arkansas to William H. Kinney and Atha Douglas Kinney.
Visitation/ Rosary for Etta Viola Groh will be on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 6 pm-8 pm at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home. The funeral Mass will be on October 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels in Overton. Interment to follow at Overton City Cemetery.
Viola was an Active member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Overton, TX. She loved to be involved in fundraisers and other activities. She was a manager and cook at various restaurants, and worked for 7 years for Jordan Healthcare. Viola was a great homemaker and cook. She loved to spend time with her family.
Viola is Survived by her Children; Betty Jo Sandoval of Miami, OK, Robert Raney Jr. and wife Pam of Overton, TX, and Mary Chambless and husband Rocky of Kilgore, TX; 7 Grandchildren; 19 Great-Grandchildren; and 14 Great-Great-Grandchildren She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Viola is preceded in death by her Husband; William H. Groh; Parents; William H. Kinney and Atha Douglas Kinney; 8 Siblings; Daughter; Raye Jean Rambo; and Grandsons; Bobby Raney and Vince Sandoval.
