Wayne Melton Obituary
Christopher Wayne Melton, 54, of Chapel Hill, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2023, in Longview, Texas. He was born April 29, 1968, in Chandler, Arizona, to Michael and Glenna Gail Kuykendall Melton.
Graveside services for Wayne Melton will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Williams Cemetery, Tyler, with Reverend Freeman Pierce officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Wayne enjoyed fishing, and reading, and loved being around people. He graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1986. He worked in construction and he was in the United States Navy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville.
He is preceded in death by his father Mike Melton.
He is survived by his mother, Gail McCoy of Hallsville; daughter, Amber Wallace of Tyler; sister, Kelly Woods and husband Teddy of Hallsville; 2 grandchildren, Nova Leigh Wallace of Tyler, and Harley Wayne Wallace of Tyler.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
