William Thomas “Tommy” Butler, 68, of Troup, passed away on February 7, 2020, in Troup, Texas. He was born April 4, 1951, in Brown, Texas to the late Lee N. Butler and Mary Nell Molly Albertson Butler.
Tommy was a choral director at Robert E. Lee High School, Tyler. Tommy worked as choir director for several churches and most recently First Presbyterian Church of Troup.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Terry Butler, and sister, Janie Strader.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Butler of Troup; son, Christopher Butler and wife Sarah Ibison of Houston; daughter, Jennifer Rainer and husband Anthony of Longview; 2 grandchildren, Abigail and Karen Rainer of Longview.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
