Vivian (Maldanado) Vega

Vivian Maldanado Vega, 84, of Tyler, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. She was born January 8, 1939, in Luling, Texas to the late Jose Maldanado and Anita Lopez Maldanado.

Mass for Vivian Vega will be at 10:00 am, Friday, January 27, 2023, at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Tyler. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Tyler with Bishop Joseph Strickland officiating.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 pm., Thursday, January 26, 2023, Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Vivian worked for the Health Department of the City of Tyler. She loved taking care of her family. She was a member of The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Tyler.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Maldanado and Little Joe Maldanado.

She is survived by the father of her children, Angel “Shine” Vega of Gladewater; children, Patricia A. Torres of Gladewater; Linda Clark and husband Brad of Whitehouse and Katy Jones and husband David of Tyler; brothers and sister, Luis Maldanado and wife Teri of San Antonio, Johnny Maldanado and wife Sandra of Staples, Tx, Domingo “Boy” Maldanado and wife Terry of Lockhart TX, Tony Maldanado of Tyler, Annie Trevino and husband, Ozzie of Luling, and David Maldanado and wife Sandra of Buda; Seven Grandchildren; Fourteen Great- Grandchildren; One Great-Great-Grandchild.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
